Might be the best thing you don’t hear in the mainstream. Norway’s best kept secret. This eclectic band has existed since 2000 but still sounds fresh, exciting and genre defying. Their unclassifiable hybrid of alternative rock, country, latin, soul, European chansons, and jazz seems to draw from every conceivable corner of contemporary music. 
 The achingly beautiful All Is Forgiven (2012) felt like an ending with songs like Down the River Love Goes Wading, The Proud Defeat and Life in Moments. The critically acclaimed albums Transparent Blue (2017) and Music from Little Red (2020) gave the band a new beginning and are part of a planned three colours trilogy. In 2021 the band released More Music from Little Red - EP. 2022 saw the release of Bootleg Series, Vol. 1-2, 9 (Live, Rare & Unreleased 2001-2021), a collection of unreleased outtakes and live recordings. 
 John Peter and his Collaborators is based around the idiosyncratic songwriting talent of John Peter Støa. The current line-up of the group goes like this: John Peter Støa (vocals, acoustic guitar, piano), his sister Eva Maria Støa (vocals), their brother Bjørn Erik Støa (guitar, mandolin, banjo etc), Stian Langerud (vocals), Terje Nylund (double and electric bass), Øystein Imsen (violin), Kim Wild (percussion, vibraphone, drums, etc), Carsten Cesh Holt (guitar etc), Geir Fragell (piano, organ) and Fredrik Lehmann (drums).
