Биография
Same band, same name since the birds and the bees. Despite every force that has threatened to pull this scrappy Midwestern band apart since they formed in 2010, Tidal Volume continues to survive and thrive against all odds. Led by singer/songwriter Zach Sullentrup and keyboard player Will Minard, they’ve honed their brand of emotionally charged guitar pop that enthusiastically answers a question no one asked: “What if Weezer, but queer?” Friends of the people and enemies of local Deadheads (for reasons beyond their control), Tidal Volume has developed a reputation for rollicking live shows brimming with charisma and comedy. Harnessing the energy of an arena-level performance at even the smallest rock club, they’ve had the distinct privilege of supporting a number of far more accomplished and talented bands including Silversun Pickups, Ludo, Cold War Kids, Mt. Joy, Jukebox The Ghost, and MisterWives. Armed with a slew of tongue-in-cheek, heart-on-sleeve songs about neurotic nonsense that no stable person would care about — Tidal Volume continues to trudge forward like an unkillable power pop cockroach, pushing bigger and bolder sounds homebrewed in St. Louis with each release. -Max Havey (journalist, music historian, trivia champion)
