    Spinning is an alternative rock band from Orange County formed in 2015 as Floorboards, & later Andy’s Room, while vocalist Matt McCarthy, bassist Garrett Blodgett, & drummer Austin Wheeler were in high school. The band expanded their sound while simultaneously expanding their lineup, adding guitarist Devin Trott in 2017, guitarist Tommy English in 2018 & guitarist/keyboardist Jarrod Mancilla in 2019. Spinning incorporates the textures of 80s & 90s alternative rock like The Cure, Third Eye Blind, Oasis, The Cranberries and others, combined with the nostalgic hooks of 90s & early 2000s emo like American Football & Jimmy Eat World.
