Dylan Rodrigue was raised in the Sierra Foothills of Northern California, at a small spiritual commune where he was barred from most modern music. Nonetheless, Rodrigue’s father quietly slipped him an array of illicit “rock” records which would inform a life-long journey of music. Dylan now lives in Newhall, CA, among his instruments, recording tools, and a meticulously-cataloged library of records. In his new upcoming album, 'Torch Songs,' Dylan Rodrigue embraces his inherent multiplicity as an artist. The record’s influences encompass Phil Collins, Aphex Twin, Charli XCX, Tori Amos, and more. This mixtape-inspired montage skips around the past 7 years of Rodrigue’s personal life, displaying tremendous span while retaining the arc and weight of a timeless record.
