The Sons of Rainier create easy going alt-folk for hard times. Open book lyricism, sparse instrumentation, and saturated vocal harmony is the bedrock of the sound. They hail from NW Washington with one foot in Louisiana. Their first album Down in Pancake Valley has found its way into the permanent library of hobos, widows, fry cooks, and fancy pants alike. Their second album Take Me Anywhere released in Feb 2023 and continues their thread of wondering, wandering, losing, loving, and longing. Band members are Devin Champlin, Sam Gelband of Mr. Sam & the People People, Dean Johnson, and Charlie Meyer.
