Daniel Baron is a South African platinum-selling, award-winning and chart-topping singer, songwriter, record producer and multi-instrumentalist. The 2x SAMA-nominated star has achieved 15 No. 1’s among a string of 25 Top 40 Chart hits with over 15 million streams. Named by People Magazine as “One of the greatest South African pop stars”, and in 2017 was a mentor on The Voice South Africa. Known for his constantly evolving sound and bold cross-genre antics, Baron’s success has stemmed from pop-rock anthems such as ‘So Much More’ (DSTV theme song) to the dance-floor chart-crusher ‘Children Of The Sun’, which remains one of the biggest hits to come out of South Africa. In 2013 he opened for Bon Jovi to a crowd of 65000 people at FNB Stadium in JHB, and that same year won a Wawela Award for Best Male Artist & toured the UK. He has independently released four full-length studio albums, all to critical acclaim. Baron’s prolific songwriting and super-producer abilities have led him to become very sought-after behind-the-scenes. He has written & produced for many South African artists, namely Euphonik, Kwesta, Sketchy Bongo, Pascal & Pearce, Jamie-Lee Sexton, Proverb, Royal K, Mark Stent, ADAM, Mandoza, Cara Frew & Cindy Alter of Clout.
