Биография

Janie Bay is a SAMA nominated, International Award Winning Singer-songwriter from Cape Town, South Africa, currently living in Pretoria. Since 2011, Janie has performed at Oppikoppi, KKNK, Up The Creek, White Mountain Festival to name a few and have performed and worked with the likes of Jack Parow,  Matthew Mole, Hunter Kennedy, Jo Black, Majozi and many more. In October 2016, she joined Warner Music South Africa. In September 2017, Bay released her sophomore album 'Miscellany' which received a South African Music Awards Nomination in April 2018 and which have also sported a few #1 hit songs on local radio which includes the collaboration “Wag Vir Jou” featuring Hunter Kennedy (Fokofpolisiekar, Die Heuwels Fantasties). Janie was also chosen to play songs from her album at Spotify's International Meeting in Johannesburg May 2018. For Janie's 4th single from 'Miscellany', “Can't Be The One”, she received her first International Gold Award for “Best Music in a Music Video” at the Queen Palm International Film Festival in Palm Springs, California, USA which has now gone through to the Annual Award Show in July 2019. With a captivating voice and while charming audiences with heartfelt performances, Janie Bay is surely steadfast becoming a household name within the English & Afrikaans Alternative Pop-Singersongwriter environment.
