TENGY is a rising star of the future. Gaining popularity from the Hip-Hop scene in the SEA region since he started back in 2016, TENGY is a force to be reckoned with. Now, TENGY has amassed across a million views on social media platforms starting of June 2023. But, who really is TENGY? FKA Tengyboy, TENGY’s songwriting journey stemmed from his interest in poetry at a young age. Already writing stanzas at 12, all he really needed was something to write about; and like most artists, his first major source of inspiration was love. Sprouting from the red and white’s of Singapore, TENGY has always tried to push the boundaries of the stereotypes about being an artist in an Asian country. Drawing inspiration from global stars such as Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole and Frank Ocean, not to mention artists that hit closer to home such as ZICO and DEAN. TENGY is fluent with writing and not just for his own projects, but he is also sought out for his wordsmithing for other artist and projects as well. For example, TENGY has had the privilege to write for titans such Disney & SHINee. TENGY is here for the long run and will not dissipate before leaving a mark on the world, leaving a story to tell on the tip of everyone’s tongue when his name comes into a conversation.
