What’s that you say? The Wantabees? NO! The Watanabes! Oh, I see. The Wannabees! NO! The Watanabes! It’s a Japanese surname! Wa-Ta-Na-Bays! Get it? Got it. The Wantabees. Oh FFS. 
 To cut a long story short, we’re an indie folk pop band that started life in the orange-laden fields of Ehime in rural Japan. Three years later we upped sticks and headed to Tokyo in search of musical adventures and regular trains. Once, you would have found us standing outside the tobacco-scented, dungeon-like live houses of central Tokyo, drinking green tea and avoiding the smoke, but now, our social and musical lives are far less dangerous. We aim to hold a good tune and avoid unnecessary disturbances. Rest assured, no one was hurt in the making of this music.
