He began his musical career in his hometown for 14 years, getting his style from the rappers he grew up listening to that originate from Klerksdorp. His vernacular style of rap is influenced by Motswako and West Coast Gangster rap, which led to the birth of his style which was dubbed “STRAATA” by a rapper who does the same style who goes by the name of Apu Sebekedi. His influences nationally were kwaito artists like Brickz,Mapaputsi,Ma-Orange,Gumshev,Zola,Mageu amongst a few. He started recording music in professional studios at a very young age, working with Afro Pop legends “The Jaziel Brothers” Luthando & Ntobeko Ncgizela, who were also recording Jub-Jub’s album at that time. He continued making music on his own with the producers he grew up around ever since.
