Биография
Dailey & Vincent are an award-winning bluegrass outfit led by virtuoso musicians Jamie Dailey (guitar, bass, vocals) and Darrin Vincent (mandolin, guitar, bass, vocals). Noted for their exceptional instrumental skills and outstanding harmonies, the duo have been a regular presence on the roots music charts and frequent award winners in the bluegrass community since making their debut in 2008. They showed off the full range of their talents on 2009's Brothers from Different Mothers, paid homage to a key influence on 2010's Dailey & Vincent Sing the Statler Brothers, delivered a striking a cappella gospel set on 2009's Singing from the Heart and tipped their hat to full-band country sounds on 2022's Let's Sing Some Country! Jamie Dailey and Darrin Vincent both had long careers in bluegrass before they joined forces. Dailey was the guitarist and lead singer for Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, and Vincent was a multi-instrumentalist in Ricky Skaggs' band Kentucky Thunder; Vincent also played in a family band, the Sally Mountain Show, with his older sister, fellow bluegrass star Rhonda Vincent. Dailey and Vincent first met in 2001 and quickly discovered that their voices meshed especially well, much like the rare blend of voices that legendary brother duos like the Louvin Brothers possessed. After years of crossing paths on the road, they formed Dailey & Vincent; signing with Rounder Records, the pair released the eponymous Dailey & Vincent in 2008 on the label, and the album immediately put them on the top of the bluegrass heap, winning six International Bluegrass Music Association awards that same year. Two more albums appeared from Rounder in 2009, the bluegrass workout Brothers from Different Mothers in March, and Singing from the Heart, an a cappella collection of gospel classics, in October. Two themed collections, Dailey & Vincent Sing the Statler Brothers and The Gospel Side of Dailey & Vincent, were issued in 2010 and 2012, respectively, through the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store and distributed through Rounder Records. The well-balanced and impressive Brothers of the Highway appeared in the spring of 2013, earning them their second Grammy nomination. It was their final album for Rounder, and 2015's Alive! In Concert was issued in tandem with Pillar Stone Records and the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store. Bob Frank Entertainment released their next studio set, Patriots & Poets, which featured guest appearances from Steve Martin, Béla Fleck, and David Rawlings. November 2018 saw the duo's first holiday album, The Sounds of Christmas, which featured a guest vocal from Dolly Parton on the track "Road to Bethlehem." They enlisted the help of friends Jimmy Fortune, Vince Gill, Alison Krauss, and Rhonda Vincent to help shape 2022's rollicking Let's Sing Some Country! Reworking their sound to add a stronger country influence, Let's Sing Some Country! was their first album for BBR Music Group, a country-centric imprint of BMG Rights Management. The duo are also hosts of The Dailey & Vincent TV Show, a weekly program on the streaming outlet Circle. ~ Steve Leggett & Mark Deming, Rovi
