Metallic Hardcore based out of Laurens County, South Carolina. Candescent fuses early 2000’s Metalcore with a new school twist of Hardcore and Emo offering emotional melodic undertones into screeching breakdowns. Taking influences from acts such as Chiodos , Knocked Loose , & Story Of The Year. Candescent was formed in January of 2021 as a 4-Piece with original members Gordon Tippins (Guitar), Caleb Baumgardner (Bass), Brayden Gibbs (Vocals), and Hunter Tippins (Drums). They released and began playing shows after their first Demo, “Spring Demo 21’” in April of 2021. By July of 2022, Candescent solidified their lineup as a 5-piece, moving Baumgardner to rhythm guitar and adding Matt Bartley on bass. With a lineup change, the band wiped their discography and took a hiatus from playing shows in search of honing in on their sound and identity. Candescent released Sleep Tight in August of 2022 showcasing their new sound and began building their new resume in the SC scene. Candescent’s long coming debut EP Through The Eyes Of A Stranger was released on March 15th, 2023.
