Brazen rock outfit, Future Radio, formed and released their debut album, Freedom, in 2020. The South Africa based duo consists of songwriter, vocalist and guitarist, Johnny Future as well as guitarist and visual artist, Drikus Roets. Future Radio's signature sound is a fusion of Alternative Rock, Riff Rock, and Punk Rock, which they refer to as "Future Rock." What sets Future Radio apart from other rock acts is their emphasis on visual storytelling. Each song they release is accompanied by visuals and a narrative that form part of a season. They are currently finishing up Season 2, Identity, which featured nine new releases. In just two years, Future Radio has achieved remarkable success, thanks in part to their strong social media presence, with over 21K followers on Instagram alone. Their 2022 release, Something To Believe In, has earned them spots on the Spotify SA Rock Essential and Apple Music's New in Rock playlists, and the song has charted in Australia, the USA, and South Africa, reaching #13 on the MixFm SA Top 40 chart. Future Radio's multidimensional artistry and hard work have garnered them much attention, making them one of the most exciting rock acts around.
