Биография
Born in Greenock, Scotland, came to Canada in the 1960’s singing with two highly successful groups. The Patmacs, 1964-1965, a folk quartet, the King Beezz, a rock group in 1965 with friends Ron McLachlan and Alan Cramsie from Scotland, and two Canadians touring across Canada with live performances and many of the top pop shows. Based in Canada they were considered part of the British Invasion. After the break up of The King Beezz his attention turned folk again reforming The Patmacs. Signed by Capitol Record, embarked on a 2 year tour across Canada with live performances and national TV shows. Info on these two groups visit patmacs.com and kingbeezz.com. After the breakup of The Patmacs Carl went solo in Montreal releasing 2 solo LPs. Carl turned his attention to the USA to find success in Scottish festivals. In 1994, he was signed by Community Concerts for 6 years averaging 30 festivals a year, 50 concerts a year across the US and Canada two with Allied Concerts from Wisconsin. Carl has released over 50 recordings, published two books. The release of his double CD, Scotland Remembers The Alamo and the companion book Now's The Day And Now's Hour, Carl has turned to writing. The double CD and the book chronicle the influence of the Scots and Scotch-Irish at The Alamo in early Texas history. Cut his performing schedule to concentrate on writing. Ewan Colin Coupar and a Touch of the Fae, a Scottish Faerie fantasy was released Jan. 2017 with the sequel on the way.
