Ruuu is a singer/songwriter, producer, and performer based in Cagayan De Oro City, known as the city of Golden Friendship. He was originally based in Palompon, Leyte, but due to studies he moved in CDO in the year 2018. Ruuu got his musical skills from his sister and brother, they taught him how to sing and play guitar at the age of 7. He considered artists such as Eminem, Jason Mraz, Taylor Swift, Avril Lavigne, Phylum, Owl City, The Chainsmokers, and Ed Sheeran as his influence. 
 As a sophomore at Liceo De Cagayan University, he competed in their songwriting competitions which he became first runner-up by 2020 and a grand champion by 2022. He was also the grand champion of the city's PopDev songwriting competition 2022. He also participated in the WishCovery Originals 2019. 
 He improved his skills as a performer by competing in contest, live gigs, and open mics around the city. Doing so, he gained his name and place as an artist in CDO along with Sulo, Inside City, Arthur Nery, Mari, From Outtakes, KRNA, Ikabaud Kraine, PAID, Peachfuzz, Niño Tiro, Cyberband, Julienne Monique, JAVES, Jean Alenjandro, Ela Figura, and many more.
