Sofia Monroy, 23, is an artist and songwriter currently based in Stockholm, Sweden. Raised on a rooftop in the middle of Mexico City, Sofia Monroy moved to the northern parts of Sweden when she was 2 years old. The artist describes herself and her music as a result of a culture clash, where Mexico meets Sweden, where English meets Spanish and where minimalistic meets colorful. After participating in Swedish Idol when she was 16 years old, Sofia debuted as a solo artist in 2019 with the single ’Cautious’. Since then, Sofia Monroy has gained attention worldwide for her impressive live performances, beautiful visual content, and bilingual and undisguised lyrics. Her debut EP 'Telenovela' is released May 12th.
