In 1987 "C’est la ouate" became a huge hit in France and hit the world ! Caroline Loeb, singer and co-author with her eccentric personality was already a prominent member of the parisian night life, as well as an actress working with James Ivory, Jacques Demy or Paloma Picasso. In 1983, she wrote and recorded her 1st album "Piranana" at the "Electric Ladyland" studio in her childhood city of New York (Cover Jean-Baptiste Mondino). The follow-up "C’est la ouate" was released in 1988. Caroline Loeb is also the author of "Has been" and a book on the 80’s "Mes années 80 de A à Z". Since 1993 she is a successful theatre director. "Shirley" won a Molière, the highest French theatre award, for best actress Judith Magre. She also directed her 1st short movie "Vous desirez ?" presented at La Mostra in 2008. In 2009, she released "Crime parfait", recorded by Fred de Fred. 12 intimate, elegant, sophisticated, moving and haunting songs. Since 2010 Caroline has created several plays inspired by her icons. "Mistinguett, Madonna et moi", "George Sand, ma vie, son oeuvre" and "Françoise par Sagan" directed by Alex Lutz has been performed over 400 times. Her latest play "Chiche!" features the songs of her latest album "Comme Sagan". During the first lockdown she directed with the russian talent Dmitry Zhitov a new video for "C’est la ouate" featuring fans from all around the world including designer Jean-Paul Gaultier for which she was a guest-star in his "Fashion Freak Show".
