ICELANDIA is a synth-pop outfit from British Columbia, Canada, whose emotive and undeniably catchy hooks have been capturing audiences since they formed in 2014. Their debut album ‘Kinship’ released in November of 2016 has been described as an amazing artistic accomplishment with singles reviewed by the likes of massive music blogs IndieShuffle and Entertainment Weekly. A followup EP titled ‘Paradise on Earth’ was released in 2018 led by the popular single ‘Miracle Caught on Camera’. In December 2019, ICELANDIA released a new song called ‘Crystal Castle’ which was featured on Spotify’s ‘Fresh Finds’ playlist and included in MusicBed’s ‘Best of 2020.’ The summer of 2020 saw the release of ‘Changer’, a new single incorporating swooping vocal harmonies and layers of violin riffs to their unique synth-pop sound. The trio has poured their hearts into their latest single entitled ‘Video Game’. Written from a place of nostalgia, it’s wistful and provides a comforting and catchy listen. ICELANDIA’s focus is always on creativity and optimism through their music and visual outlets. They are constantly exploring innovative ways to produce new content that will capture the hearts of their listeners.
