After releasing 'Perfect Patterns' early in the summer of 2019, Brett return to release music that was previously only available in other territories. On 'THX,' Brett look back at favorites from their catalogue that never saw a US release date, but have been embraced by fans around the world. Many of the songs on THX have been released in Japan on the great indie label Rallye Records. Some of these songs, like the swirling and hypnotic 'Parallel,' have gained traction in the far east. Unbeknownst to the band, the song was uploaded by a fan in 2016 to the mainland Chinese streaming services. There, 'Parallel' garnered millions of spins by Chinese fans and has helped the band build a strong following there. Over the summer, the band signed with Shanghai indie label 'Shadow Project' and will be touring China in December 2019. The music on THX shows the wide sonic spectrum of the band--with searing live band tracks depicting a nightmarish apocalypse, to shoe-gaze-y summer anthems, to gentle and pulsing covers of the Grateful Dead and Bruce Springsteen.
