Growing up in rural parts of Norway, with no organised sports activities close at hand, I spent hours alone running, and playing next to the lake by our house - making up conversations and melodies in my head. I also spent ridiculous amounts of time dancing in front of mirrors, recording and re-recording cassette tapes, and singing in the washing machine for good acoustics. Just like the power lines from the next-door power station would send electricity to far away places, I dreamt that one day my singing would be distributed to all of Norway and beyond. At the age of nineteen, I joined Norwegian Idol, and came 7th place in the finals. Since then, I went on to study music in Trondheim, and later discovered that what I really wanted, was to write my own songs. I write mostly about the ins-and-outs of my relationship with the invisible God, who (to me) is by far the most interesting part about my life. And since it seems like it might be hard to open up about faith for most people in Norway, I think music can be a space, where this feels natural. In 2017, my debut album “Så nærme du vil” was finally ready. Funded by some stocks I invested in my brother’s family business, and with a lot of cheering on from my local church. Since then, I recorded "Hodestups" and "Pusterom", which have been listed and played on the local state radio. This year I will be releasing an EP named after the title track: Pilegrim.
