    Stalko formed in the Summer of 2009 as a three piece consisting of Chris Cini on violin, Tim Ellis on piano, vocals and various small instruments, and Mike Stivala on guitars and vocals. Their debut album Grandiloquence was released at the end of 2012 at the majestic Orpheum Theatre, with Stalko supported by a six­-piece orchestra to help recreate the sound of the album in a live atmosphere. Grandiloquence earned Stalko a Best New Act win as well as a Best Album nomination at the Malta Music Awards and won the Album of the Year award by Times of Malta music journalist Michael Bugeja. Stalko released their second album, A Long Wave Goodbye in early 2016.
