It was honest and raw. His melodies were haunting and infectious. His lyrics were poetic yet accessible and real". - Sean McConnell (singer/songwriter) When Zach Maberry closes his eyes and sings a song, he puts everything he has into those few minutes of carefully crafted lyrics and melody, like it’s the last time he’ll ever get to sing it. “I believe this is one of the things I was put here to do and I want to do it to the best of my ability. I want to write songs that have heart behind them and create little moments for others that can last a lifetime”. A Texas native, born in Nacogdoches, the singer/songwriter embraces the musical history of his home state, that has yielded influences like Townes Van Zandt and Guy Clark, and strives to carry on the tradition with his own blend of Americana and Folk music. With a six song EP under his belt, produced by singer/songwriter Sean McConnell, Maberry is now embarking on releasing a full length album that was recorded at Smoakstack Studio (Caitlyn Smith, Chris Renzema, Heather Morgan, Matthew Mayfield) in Nashville,TN.
