Tripwire are a five-piece alternative rock band, formed in Athens, Greece in 1999. Since then, Tripwire have performed regularly in various venues around Athens. Tripwire’s songs, such as “Judy’s Lullaby”, “The Big Deal”, and “Under A Scarlet Sky”, have known significant airplay in radio stations across Greece, including Red 96,3 and Freedom FM and their track REC2 is featured in Postwave.gr’s sixth compilation CD. In February 2010, Tripwire released their debut album titled “Cables and Lines”, together with their EP “Five Acoustic”, which are available on iTunes and all major digital retailers. In October 2013, they released their second album titled “Deviation” on Spotify, iTunes and several other major retailers, and they performed on several festivals and concerts including the European Music Day in 2013. Since then, the group has gone through many changes, as most of the members lived abroad. Tripwire have been experimenting and pushing the boundaries musically and lyrically for several years, while expanding their sound, compositions, and orchestrations in various music styles like bossa nova, jazz, and rock, but all under strong music lines and melodies and under the “alternative” musical spectrum. In the beginning of 2022, they were reformed and they released digitally on every major retailer in September 2022 their new EP titled "Half Circle" and in October 2022 their third album titled “Full Circle” as the band will begin to present their music live.
