Omie Wise was born in Braga in mid-2015, the first line-up being Miguel Santos, Fábio Pinto, Eduardo Peixoto de Almeida, João Machado and José Martins. After a period of musical growth and songwriting, they released their first EP, "1808", in March 2017, a release recorded, produced, mixed and mastered by the band. After some presentations of "1808" in venues and festivals around Portugal, they focus on the writing of their first LP, "To Know Thyself", released in September 2019. This release unfolds a conceptual album that follows the story introduced in the first EP, which deals with topics such as the influence of the subconscious on the individual's reasoning and the impact on his growth and personal discovery. The album finds an excellent reception by the portuguese specialized critic, drawing the attention of sites such as bodyspace, MúsicaemDX, Ruído Sonoro, and also international, based on the reviewa that can be read on the French site ProgCensor and ProgArchives. In promotion of the LP, they pass through venues such as SabotageClub in Lisbon, Mercado Negro and GrETUA in Aveiro, FerroBar in Porto, and they also take role of being the opening band of BragaMusicWeek 2019, at Theatro Circo in Braga. After a line-up change in mid-2020, with the exchange of José Martins for André Mendes on drums, they are currently promoting their second LP, "Wind and Blue", released in October 2021 and recorded at MobyDick studio in March 2021 with the support of gnration Braga.
