Delusions of Godhood is a melodic death metal band from Salt Lake City, Utah (USA) formed in 2013. Influenced by bands such as In Flames, At the Gates, Gates of Ishtar, Kalmah, and Noumena, the band have combined elements of both classic Gothenburg death metal with its Finnish melodic death metal counterparts. The band struggled to record their debut album, supposed to release it in 2013, they had to push the release back to 2015 due to problems with various recording studios. On July 19th, 2015, they finally released their debut full-length album ‘Dreamscape’. After supporting the album locally in Salt Lake City for a few months, the band went on a hiatus after releasing two singles for their to-be sophomore album (On the Edge of the River Styx and Trial By Fire). Now in 2017, they have started working on their sophomore effort to be titled ‘Salvation’s Withdrawal’, scheduled to be released in early 2018.
