Биография
The Wind-up Birds are a happy group of people from the UK - based in Leeds mostly - who've been round for like 100 years or so. There's loads of old stuff flying round the internet that isn't on here (yet - we will probably get organised at some point) but on here there's a good chunk of stuff from the last, I don't know, 15 years or so. The group have been doing things for about 20 years. They are Ben Dawson on bass (also plays in band 'Forming' so find them too - they sound well different to The Wind-up Birds but are ace). Mat Forest on guitar, keyboards and the nice bits of singing that break up the ranting. Oli Jefferson - drums and stuff. Kroyd - words, talking bits of stuff that almost turn out to be singing but don't really get there. Oh I noticed sometimes I've said 'we' and sometimes said 'they' - hope that doesn't matter too much. People have picked up on a few songs - mainly 'There Won't Always Be an England' which was written years ago but seems to pinpoint something about the horrible route the UK has taken in the last decade or so. If you want to delve further down the band's exploration of 'Brexit-Britain' - you could also try the whole of 'The Right' which is gloomy as owt but has some points to make probably.
