For Philadelphia native Mixzy Slime, music is deeply embedded in his DNA. The rapper, who’s family tree includes a father who was affiliated with Kurupt and Death Row Records and a mother who sang backup vocals for Boys II Men, can truly trace his love for hip hop and R&B in his roots. Mixzy Slime sonically combines the best of both worlds, showcasing hard hitting lyricism over a smooth melodic sound. The crooner/MC offers a fresh take on trap-infused soul music, flexing his cadence over catchy tonal sounds, while still coming correct with cut throat punchlines expected from someone who authentically calls the hip hop hotbed of Philly home.
