Bandit Country are a five-piece band from Motherwell, Scotland bringing Lanarkshire Post-Punk to the world. Uniting across the various areas of the county in unlikely circumstances, the group focus their unique chemistry into incisive, impassioned, and universal tracks that call listeners to arms and incite chaos in venues. The band mix influence from Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds , The Clash , The Beach Boys , The Brian Jonestown Massacre, and The Jesus and Mary Chain into their own individual take on the post-punk genre. Pounding rhythm sections, sharp guitars, and vocals ranging from the confrontational to the sensitive are to be found in abundance in their music. Within a year of their live debut in early 2022, Bandit Country have headlined some of Scotland’s most iconic venues and shared the stage with some of the country’s most exciting bands. Topping the bill at Glasgow’s King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut in support of debut single ‘Lake To River’ and playing alongside Humour at Nice ‘N’ Sleazy’s proved to be highlights of an extremely impressive breakout year. 2023 promises to hold a whole lot more – beginning with another performance at King Tut’s for their New Year’s Revolution concert series.
