Sound designer/writer Frances Libeau draws on their practice as a composer & poet in their recorded/performance work as i.e. crazy. Synthesising neo-folk, industrial sonics & power balladry through exploratory modes of aural collage & narrative songwriting, i.e. crazy harks to the avant-garde provocations of Laurie Anderson, Aotearoan post-punk & the melancholic sehnsucht of 1980s pop music. Following on 2017’s Non Compos Mentis (Muzai Records), second album Country Justice is due for release in early 2022.
