Morning Midnight is the bedroom-pop project of singer-songwriter Jordan Scott and producer Jess Pascal. The pair met after a demo Scott recorded fell into the unlikely hands of Pascal, who was so moved by what she heard that she quit university the next week to join Scott making music. The pair immediately bonded over a shared love of Bon Iver’s second record, Paulo Coelho’s “The Alchemist” and Hayao Miyazaki’s Studio Ghibli movies - works that are beautiful yet melancholic, and certainly helped form the basis of Morning Midnight’s sound.
