Биография
Rebellious and nasty, the Blood Brothers defined their own brand of punk-soaked angst rock when they came together in 1997. Jordan Blilie (vocals), Johnny Whitney (vocals), Waxwing's Cody Votolato (guitar), Morgan Henderson (bass), and Mark Gajadhar (drums) all hail from Seattle; they've shared the stage with Pretty Girls Make Graves and the like. The Blood Brothers' debut album, This Adultery Is Ripe, was released in 2000. It was a rough-edged, sour set of songs and the press immediately praised the Blood Brothers' scowl at mainstream society. March on Electric Children, which appeared in 2001, continued on with the Blood Brothers' spastic presentation. ARTISTdirect was quite impressed, and offered the band a deal the following year; shortly thereafter, the angry five-piece issued its most cohesive material to date with Burn Piano Island, Burn. In fall 2004, the Blood Brothers returned with their first release for V2. Crimes was produced by Seattle local John Goodmanson (Blonde Redhead, Sleater-Kinney, the Catheters). In between tours with Against Me!, Kill Me Tomorrow, the Chinese Stars, Coheed & Cambria, and Dance Disaster Movement, Whitney and Gajadhar worked on their side project Neon Blonde, which released the album Chandeliers in the Savannah in 2005. The Love Rhymes with Hideous Car Wreck EP tided fans over until the release of Young Machetes in fall 2006. Described by the bandmembers as a return to their earlier, more frenetic sound, the album featured Guy Picciotto as producer. The group disbanded in late 2007, with Whitney forming Jaguar Love and the rest of the band becoming Past Lives. ~ MacKenzie Wilson, Rovi
