Oslo Cathedral Choir is a choir of high professional standards, and a pioneer in Norwegian church music. The Choir has a high level of activity, spanning from concert productions, weekly participation in services, commissions on a state and national level, audio recordings and tours. Terje Kvam founded the Choir in 1982. The Choir frequently collaborates with professional musicians and orchestras, and often initiates projects with participants from both inside and outside the Church. The Choir has a unique function for the nation of Norway, as it must at all times be prepared to contribute at national events and commemorations. The Choir is led by Vivianne Sydnes, cantor of Oslo Cathedral.
