Leo Rispal was born in France in August 2000. Very early on, he was drawn to music aver seeing the Wizard of Oz and the brilliant interpretation of Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Judy Garland. In 2009, he participated in a singing contest on French television entitled L’école des Stars (Direct 8), in which the young Louane Emera also competed. Leo won the contest and was propelled to the forefront of the media scene. He also partook in two primetime TV shows on the leading European TV channel TF1 (Le Grand Show des Enfants) in 2010 and 2011. In 2011, alongside with Gary Fico, he released Le même que moi (Urban pop /Wagram), a signing duet that was met with immediate success. The music video as well as the track were both heavily broadcast on TV and on the radio, and once again propelled the young singer to the forefront of the scene. In 2012, Leo Rispal released his first solo EP (Wagram). These successes allowed Leo to acquire a certain notoriety. In 2018, in parallel to his studies and as an obvious urge, Leo started to write and compose his first songs. Concerned about the smallest detail, he gets involved in the creation until the arrangement and the mixing of the tracks that he refines to obtain the color he imagines. Influenced by big names of the current international scene (Yebba, Beyoncé...) and historical ones (Fleetwood Mac, Joni Mitchell...), Leo Rispal reveals a very personal pop music where his warm and powerful voice holds a particular place.
