Abnormal Sleepz is a multi-talented artist emerging amongst a wave of Manchester excellence. His run of project releases, showcases the full range of his artistry. Mostly self-produced, the music sees Sleepz combine a cutting edge musical palette with honest, introspective lyrics that will undoubtedly make Abnormal Sleepz a household name in the UK. Obsessed with a wide range of genres from an early age, Sleepz has spent years developing his craft. What started with spitting bars on playgrounds and recording DJ sets in his bedroom eventually led to studying the engineering game at a local studio at 16 and earning multiple DJ residencies within the UK & abroad. As an artist he took his time to develop his sound. As he became more versed in the studio and experienced as an artist, Sleepz managed to organically combine his love for multi-genres including Hip Hop, Soul and Grime into a clear vision, a signature sound. This resulted in the release of his first solo mixtape: “The Meditape”. Based on the ’10 Paramis (10 perfections)’ revised within the Buddhist culture, he gives us a carefully thought through concept project that reinforces the mellow, experimental character he’s well known for amongst his developing fan base. This was followed by “The Meditape Two & Three” which, while an extensions and sequel, also demonstrated his growth and progress in just a few years.
