Originally signed by Clive Davis (Bruce Springsteen, Santana, Aretha Franklin) Cang had a huge impact on national radio with his song “Make Love” being playlisted for 5 weeks on Radio 2. Joe Cang is known for his diverse yet distinctive audio palette which has taken him to Nashville with his publishers Reverb/Reservoir, to international chart success with reggae artists Aswad with whom he wrote their hit single “Shine” charting in the Top 20 for Austria, Belgium, Iceland, Ireland, Netherlands and Scotland, whilst reaching Top 5 in the UK Singles charts and closing out in the Top 50 for the year in 1994. A musical tour-de-force both live and in the studio, Cang has toured with the likes of Scritti Politti, Ian Dury, Desmond Dekker and Marianne Faithfull, whilst also writing with celebrated artists like Daryl Hall & John Oates, Hugh Masekela, Leona Lewis and many others. Joe Cang continues to perform regularly with pianist and co-writer Matteo Saggese as the band Loco Ironico collaborating with Sarah Jane Morris, Phil Manzanera and Tony Remy amongst others. He is also the singer with Orphy Robinson's Jazz FM award nominated project Astral Weeks. His latest album was Slowtime completed during the lockdown of 2020 - with a new 1995 album re-issue project, One For All just around the corner!
