Shagpile AKA Jason Vare is an independent singer-songwriter from Bedlington, a small town north of Newcastle in the beautiful surroundings of Northumberland in the UK. From an early age Shaggy has had a passion for music, in particular, music involving acoustic guitar. At the age of 8 he was given his 1st acoustic guitar and as they say “the rest is history”..As with most musicians, Shaggy was introduced to a wide variety of music by his parents from a very early age. He was particularly influenced by artists such as Bob Dylan; The Beatles; Neil Young and many more. Shaggy one half of the duo of songwriters We Steal Flyers until they finished touring in 2020 , he now performs with his 4 piece band Growing Robots and as a solo act across the UK and Europe. Shaggy is a touring troubadour of songwriting and creativity. Shaggy is a proud endorsee of Tanglewood guitars in the UK and performs using a TSM1 Master Design and recently has been added as a Sfarzo Strings and Clayton Guitar Picks Artist too. Shaggys brand new album 'SENSES' will be released worldwide on the 30th July 2021.
