Hello, I'm glad you're here. My name is Jon Guerra, and I’m a singer-songwriter who writes devotional music - less Sunday morning worship music and more Monday morning prayer music. Devotional music is a collaboration with quiet. It’s music for attending to the soul, for listening to God. I’ve lived in Chicago and am currently based in Austin, TX. I enjoy the poetry of George Herbert, Robert Lax, Charles Peguy, R. S. Thomas, and Christian Wiman. I’m a huge fan of Bob Dylan and Bjork, Keith Green and Radiohead, Arvo Pärt and Fanny Crosby. I love any film that’s more quiet than not. As a person, I crave connection as much as I crave coffee in the morning. As a writer, I like surprises. As a composer, I’m secretly a Romantic. I believe prayer is oxygen, and worship is water. I am a Christian. My debut album, Little Songs, released in 2015, Keeper of Days released in 2020. My new album releases May 12.
