Биография
Toronto Ska-Punk quartet, Slamboni, has been described as “an all-inclusive beach party in a band” and Slamboni is well known for their live performance winning over crowds wherever they play. Slamboni has supported heavy-weights like Teenage Head, Mad Caddies and Darenots at sold-out shows throughout Toronto. Their first full-length album - Motorboatin’ - was independently released digitally and on vinyl in 2016 and received radio play on 94.9 ‘The Rock’, 89.5 ‘CIUT’ and college radio favourite ‘Ska Party Radio’. Slamboni was also a top 16 finalist in the 97.7 ‘HTZ-FM Rock Search' of 2017. Recorded at Drive Studios by Steve Rizun (NOFX, The Flatliners) and Pirate Studios with Ian Boddy, Slamboni’s ‘150’ is a nod to Canada's big birthday and a collection of eight catchy, dynamic tracks that blend ska’s signature upstroke sound with influences from punk, rock and reggae. Though hailing from Toronto, Slamboni heartily embrace a coastal vibe and ‘150’ beautifully showcases the band’s wailing guitar leads, punchy drumming and Scotty’s spirited vocals. Always a fan favourite, their lively rendition of Lionel Richie’s “Stuck on You” takes the sweet ballad in an unexpected direction. Following '150' Slamboni released the Summer party tracks, 'Beers in the Fridge' and a cover of Young MC's 'Bust a Move' both showcasing Jeremiah's intense rapping prowess. In 2019, Slamboni released their most recent 3 song self-titled EP with Trouble Town Records, based in Toronto.
