The District are an indie rock band coming out of Templeogue, Dublin. The band is made up of the lead singer Simon Orr, lead guitarist Feargal McCabe, bassist Iarla O'Connor and the drummer Harry Dempsey. The band's current lineup formed in early 2019 with the addition of Simon Orr's vocals and Xin Hong Wong's keyboard and rhythm guitar. The band quickly gelled and found cohesion of sound through consistent performances and recording sessions which ultimately led to their debut single 'Roxy' in early 2020. Unfortunately due to the global pandemic in 2020 the band would move into an extended hiatus before bouncing back with their summer groover of 2021 'Letting Go'. After careful consideration keyboardist and rhythm guitarist Xin Hong Wong would elect to leave the band leaving his lasting impression on the band's first three singles. The District has featured across Ireland's finest stages such as Electric Picnic, The Button Factory, The Workman's and many more.
