Imani Basquiat is an artist born and bred in Pretoria, South Africa, signed to independent record label, Forgotten Soul. Imani prides himself in being dynamic in sound, and fluent in experimentation. Bask in his art. - Imani is an innovative young man who is always looking to push the boundary and go left when the world is going right. Imani grew up as a visual artist, illustrator and later, Jr. Architectural draughtsman. - He started dabbling in music in the late 2017's and took it all the way serious by mid 2019. To our knowledge, he has countless unreleased records. He claimed that he was not ready to release as yet or even introduce himself to the world until he mastered the sound he was crafting. This took him 2 years(Mid 2019 - Early 2022) to tinker and figure out. - He released his first offering titled &;Hooptie Music&; back in March '22 and his second offering titled &;INTERNET GIRL&; in August '22 . Fast forward 2 months and he went on a single run for another 2 months Stay tuned.
