Биография
An American/Swedish singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and progressive rock artist, Nad Sylvan was born Hugh Erik Stewart in West Covina, California, but raised in Malmö, Sweden -- he adopted the Nad Sylvan moniker in 1997. He spent the second half of the 1970s playing keyboards in the prog rock band Avenue (releasing a single in 1978) and in the 1980s bubbling just beneath the mainstream in the band One by One. He issued his debut solo outing, The Home Recordings, under the name Chris Sylvan Stewart in 1995, and in 1999 he released the concept album The Life Of A Housewife, which along with a renamed version of his 1995 debut, now called Blue Waters, arrived via his newly adopted Nad Sylvan nom de plume. A third Sylvan outing, Sylvanite, followed in 2003. Between 2004-2008 he collaborated with fellow Swede Bonamici (aka Christian Thordin) on a prog rock project called Unifaun. Shortly thereafter, he co-founded the Agents of Mercy with The Flower Kings frontman Roine Stolt releasing three studio albums and a live album. Sylvan has since 2012 worked with Steve Hackett on his Genesis Revisited projects, and in 2015 he released the narrative-driven Courting the Widow. The Bride Said No, his fifth studio long-player, arrived in 2017, as well as The Regal Bastard in 2019, again via InsideOut/SONY. The latest album, Spiritus Mundi was released on April 9, 2021 and is a tribute to Irish poet WB Yeats, a collaboration with Canadian artist Andrew Laitres.
