Биография
After roughly 12 years' worth of collaborations and guest spots, 2006 welcomed Glory as reggaeton's most visible female vocalist. Born Glorimar Montalvo Castro, in Santurce, Puerto Rico, Glory was well on her way to a master's degree in education and public health when the music business called her name. An invitation to record some coros for rapper Eddie Dee became the doorway to collaborations with the genre's most important and influential recording artists. Glory's voice appears on some of the genre's biggest hits, either delivering the memorable hooks "dame mas gasolina" or "suelta como gabete," or contributing her distinctively sexual moan. Known sometimes as Glou or la Gata Gangster, her list of collaborators include such notorious names as Daddy Yankee, Don Omar, Hector & Tito, Eddie Dee, and many more. She has appeared on such hits as "Gasolina," "Traicionera," and "Perreo 101," to name a few. Glory has performed extensively throughout Central and South America, Spain, and the United States. 2005 saw her first outing as a solo artist, entitled Glou/Glory, for the cutting-edge Machete Music label. ~ Evan C.
