Autonomous Apes is a rock band born from a loving relationship between 90s grunge era and Russian Eternal Depression. Originally the band began in 2020 in St-Petersburg, Russia by the frontman Egor Kopshar and his best friend Vladimir Morozov, but since moved to Vancouver, BC where its more active presence in the music scene began. Current members list: Egor Kopshar (lead vocal, guitar), Musa Habib (supporting vocal, bass), Rishabh Gulati (drums). "MY LAST DAY" (2022) Is now available for streaming. The EP was recorded in St-Petersburg, Russia during summer of 2021. Once again produced and engineered by Victor Hytrop this record has a raw and honest sound. Amazing performances by Vladimir Morozov on DRUMS, Irina Korotkova on BASS, Egor Kopshar on GUITAR and VOCALS, Polina Shatohina on CELLO produced a hauntingly beautiful result. This recording experience was much like a family reunion. "To My Anima" (2021) was a first for the band and thus it carries a deep sentimental value. It was recorded in St-Petersburg, Russia during winter 2020. This EP was produced and engineered by Victor Hytrop who became a mentor for two uneducated and unexperienced aspiring musicians: Vladimir Morozov on DRUMS and Egor Kopshar on GUITAR, BASS and VOCAL. This record has performances by Victor Hytrop himself as a BASS player and Polina Shatohina as a CELLO player, most notably on the track "Legend". "Legend" is the only song that was recorded live acoustically.
