With a penchant for storytelling that invokes meditative feelings of life experience & the human condition from nostalgia to belonging & detachment, Oscar Blue returns with new release 'Passenger'. The western Ireland native shows a more vulnerable side to his artistic palette with his latest offering, which opens up with anxious feelings of superstition & bad karma before exploding into an uplifting chorus of positive intent & taking control of difficult emotions. Following his debut EP “Backyard Mafia”, released last October - which received strong support with national Irish radio play, support slots with heavyweights Kodaline, KAWALA, Seafret and more. Oscar Blue sold out headline gigs in Dublin and London - and has recently announced a 25+ date UK and Irish debut tour for 2023. Speaking of ‘Passenger’, Oscar Blue said: “I wrote this song about a period in my life when I was stuck in patterns of negative thinking. The chorus is a reminder to myself that I’m not going to let difficult emotions or periods in life define me, a reminder that wrapping myself in cotton wool is not the solution to overcome fears, doubts, overthinking or anxieties. I don’t want to be a passenger in my life, controlled by the turbulence of living. I want to take the wheel, drive through the difficult stuff & emerge stronger from it. Hopefully this song can inspire strength for anybody else who feels the same.”
