Биография
Formed under a different guise in 2011, Brave Giant was originally founded by members Podge Gill and Mark Prunty, friends from an early age they collaborated as a result of their love for music and in turn began writing songs together. A year later Banjo and Mandolin player Ross McNerney, joined the band and added a unique dynamic to the group. Drummer Emmett Collum, who attended the same school as the trio, joined the group in 2014, and supplied a driving percussive energy to accompany the bands melodic and rustic sound. From humble beginnings in their home of Co.Longford, Ireland, the quartet began recording their own material in 2015 and had instant success and critical acclaim with their Debut EP upon release in April 2016. The band released their debut album in October 2019 and reached No.1 in the Irish Independent Charts and Top 10 in the Official Irish Charts. Cementing themselves as a ‘go to’ festival act is where the band gathered most fans over the years, having played at festivals all over Ireland, as well as the UK and US, the group attracted fans with their electrifying live set. Corresponding with the release of their debut album the band played their biggest headline show to a sold out crowd in Dublin’s Olympia Theatre in November 2019, hailing it as the “proudest night of their lives”. The band parted ways in May 2020, with no return on the horizon currently.
