Danny Chaimson hails from the suburbs of Chicago, and cut his teeth as a touring and studio musician during a long stint in LA in the 2000's, working with artists as diverse as Orgone, O.A.R., Jem, Tyga, Mike Posner, Kelis, and Solange, as well as being a member of the criminally underrated LA band, The Southland. In '09, Cold Classic Records signed him and enlisted the help of his LA touring pals and his buddies in Orgone to produce and record 'Young Blood, Old Soul', a well received record dripping with New Orleans flavored soul and Chicago Blues influences. The Chicago Tribune called the record, "an uber-catchy blast of laid-back, pop-based soul-funk, as if Billy Joel's been staying up late listening to Curtis Mayfield". In '10, the single "This is Life" made its way on to tastemaker station KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic, and was licensed to NBC's "Parenthood", and LA Weekly called Danny Chaimson & the 11th Hour's performance at SXSW that year their discovery moment of the festival. After the festival, the band returned to Chicago to play a sold out show..only to not be heard from again. Since then, the single "Cold Night in Chicago" was licensed to the popular video game "Watch Dogs", and "Bobblehead Girl" made its way to the big screen, appearing in the hit movie, "The Lincoln Lawyer" in 2011, and on the movie's soundtrack as well. Chaimson has continued producing and writing for GoldFord and Orgone in recent years, with new material in the works.
