Thomas Youssef AKA Youso taught himself to play the piano at the age of 14. Growing up, he had always been the musical prodigy in a family with absolutely no ties to the world of music. Music flowed through him and over one summer he taught himself not only how to play the piano, but also music theory and then pieced together years worth of melodies and lyrics to finally start experimenting with songwriting and music production. His two older sisters passed down their extremely different tastes in music. Everything between techno, jazz, pop, R&B and rock made sense and became a musical playground to explore and deconstruct. This foundation led to an obsession of writing songs and pushing the envelope to see how far he could take the broad spectrum of musical influences in his life and make them into something beautiful, and something unique. Because of this, all songs released by Youso will always be different from one another whilst still containing his strong musical identity and melodic language influenced by his favourite songwriters like Björk, Mariah Carey, Evert Taube, Perfume Genius, Olle Adolphson and Lady Gaga. 
 Youso is a selfmade songwriter, producer and singer made into an artist. He strives towards perfecting his skills; creating lush musical landscapes and painting vivid impressions of his own reality.
