    Formed in 2008, Abel was an American rock band from Poughkeepsie, New York. The band released an extended play, The Honest Love, through Dreamt Music/Facedown Records in 2009. Their first full length, Lesser Men, was offered for free through Come&Live! in 2010, garnering over fourteen thousand downloads upon release. Abel's final full length, Make It Right, was released independently in 2012. Recorded and produced by Matt Malpass, Make It Right took the band's music in a heavier and more visceral direction, receiving critical praise from outlets like Alt Press and AbsolutePunk. A vinyl edition was released by Broken Heart Records in early 2013, with the band disbanding shortly thereafter.
