Mick Mazoo, born 1998 in the Netherlands creates emotional dance songs that are fueled by his feelings of nostalgia. “Music was my therapy before I had therapy.” Ever since Mick was young, music was an escape from his everyday worries. During club nights and illegal raves he ended up transforming into a higher self where he could let go of his anxiety and depression. By writing melancholic danceable tracks in a distinctive style that is true to his nature, Mick pushes his creative limits with every release. He evokes emotion by focussing on sounddesign and the subtle use of his own voice, expressing his struggles with mental health and loneliness. Some of the industry’s most-well respected artists have played and supported his music lately. Mick Mazoo’s calling to play music that is deeply emotional and melodic while still euphoric and danceable comes to live during energetic DJ performances where he shares his infectious energy on stage. He recently released an official remix for Afrojack & David Guetta's GRAMMY nominated song "Hero". His single called Daylight on Don Diablo’s HEXAGON, was one of the most-played Future House tracks of 2020, according to 1001Tracklists.
