Биография
Marco Rodrigues, one of the most famous fado singers, was born in the Portuguese town of Amarante. His accomplishments and awards just scratch the surface of what he has accomplished in his two-decade career: Winner of two Grande Noite do Fado Awards and one Amália Rodrigues Revelation Award. Nominated for a Latin Grammy Award. Marco Rodrigues has collaborated with some of the most illustrious names in the industry, including Carlos do Carmo, Mariza, Maria Gadú and Mafalda Arnauth. The international and Portuguese press have lauded Marco Rodrigues’s fado, which has been heard in venues across Europe, Angola, and Latin America. "Fados da Tristeza Alegre," which received the Amália Rodrigues Revelation Award in 2007, "Tantas Lisboas," "Entre Tanto," and "Fados do Fado," which was nominated for a Latin Grammy Award for Best Folk Album. By 2017, "Copo Meio Cheio" had added "O Tempo," a song written by Diogo Piçarra, only to become the Marco's biggest hit to date. Also featured on the album was "Amor Em Construção”, a duet with Marisa Liz, that received widespread acclaim. "Mãe," a tribute to his late loving mother, is 2021's most intimate song yet. Tiago Machado, a longtime creative partner and friend, will produce his upcoming album, "Judite," to be released in early 2022 and will include unexpected songs like "Eu Sou Do Roque" and immediate classics like his new single, "Amar Para Sofrer".
